 Definitions for Terms of Service for Merchants

  1. Merchant: An individual or business that sells products or services through the Cholo platform.


  2. Cholo Technology BD LTD. (Cholo): The company providing the digital platform and services that connect merchants with customers for sales and delivery.


  3. Platform: Refers to Cholo’s mobile app and website used by merchants to list their products, track sales, manage deliveries, and communicate with customers.


  4. Customer: An individual who purchases goods or services from merchants via the Cholo platform.


  5. Service: The logistics and support provided by Cholo, including product listing, delivery, payment collection, and customer communication.


  6. Order: A customer’s request to purchase goods or services from a merchant through the Cholo platform.


  7. Delivery: The process of transporting a purchased product from the merchant to the customer, handled by Cholo’s logistics partners.


  8. Service Fee: A percentage or flat fee charged by Cholo to the merchant for each transaction, covering the cost of delivery, platform maintenance, and other services.


  9. Payment: The funds collected from customers for the purchase of goods or services, which are then transferred to the merchant after deducting applicable fees.


  10. Payout: The amount that Cholo transfers to the merchant’s account after deducting the service fee and any other applicable costs.


  11. Refund: The process of returning money to a customer in case of order cancellation, wrong product, or any other valid reason, as per the return policy.


  12. Return: The process of a customer sending back the product to the merchant if it’s defective, damaged, or incorrect, under Cholo’s return policy.


  13. Logistics: The services provided by Cholo or its partners to handle the pickup and delivery of products between merchants and customers.


  14. Pick-up Location: The place where Cholo’s delivery agents collect the products from the merchant for delivery to the customer.


  15. Drop-off Location: The final destination where the customer receives the product.


  16. Failed Delivery: When an attempt to deliver a product to the customer fails due to reasons like the customer being unavailable or providing incorrect information, and the product is returned to the merchant.


  17. Dispute Resolution: The process of resolving conflicts between merchants, customers, or Cholo regarding orders, payments, deliveries, or other service-related issues.


  18. Termination: The process of ending the merchant’s use of Cholo’s services, either voluntarily by the merchant or by Cholo in case of a breach of terms or unlawful activities.
